Recruitment process
-
When you send us your application, all personal details on your CV (including your name, date of birth and location) are anonymised until we shortlist you to join us for an interview. This means that during shortlisting, the focus is on your skills, experience and general suitability for the role, and any potential for bias is removed.
Whether you are shortlisted for interview or not, we aim to get in touch within 5 days after the closing date (or within 5 days of your receiving your application, if there's no closing date) to let you know.
If you aren't shortlisted for interview, we can't always guarantee that we can provide detailed feedback on your application, but we will do our best.
-
We want to make sure that you can fully prepare and bring your best, most confident self to your interview. To do this, we share our interview questions and/or question themes with you in advance - we want to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. We'll also let you know the names of who you'll be meeting with and their role at Dogs for Good.
Our first stage interviews are normally held on Teams and are generally in a panel format with two or more Dogs for Good employees, but it does depend on the role and the location. We'll make it clear on the advert which interview format applies to that specific vacancy.
-
The format of the second stage varies depending on the role, but it could involve a short presentation, a skills assessment or another panel interview. As with the first stage, we'll share everything you need to prepare in advance and make sure you have all of the information you need.
-
If we decide to make you an offer of employment, we'll contact you with the good news and follow up with an official offer letter.
If we aren't moving forward with an offer, we'll still get in touch and let you know. We'll also give you our feedback.
Accessibility and adjustments
If you need adjustments to support you during the recruitment process (e.g. with attending an interview) and you'd like to chat to us about your needs either before or after making an application, please email careers@dogsforgood.org
You don't have to disclose a disability, and there'll be no bias or judgment.
If your application is successful, we offer you a job and you join us, any ongoing adjustments you need to help you undertake your new role will be discussed with you then.

Equality, diversity and inclusion matters! It fosters innovation, strengthens teams, and creates opportunities for everyone to thrive.
